This video is about how to get mistletoe out of trees in Phoenix. Mistletoe is sometimes known as witches broom. Mistletoe is a parasite that looks like a clump of smaller branches (that look like an old broom) that bundle on the upper branches of the tree and look out of place.
This video shows a great example of how it looks. Many times it grows on palo verde, mesquite or ironwood trees. It is grown there by birds eating seeds and a separate growth starts on the branches. This takes out nutrients and can harm the tree, it is best to remove the entire branch if possible but sometimes that is not an option. When the entire branch removal will cause the tree to look bad, you can also just cut off the growth and continue cutting it back as you see new growth.
