It’s the beginning of August 2022 here in Phoenix and With all the rains we have been getting so far this monsoon season. We have received an abundance of humidity for our desert climate. Everyone knows that when there is rain you can shut your water off for at least 24 hours depending on how much rain you receive. However, what you may not know is that if we get lots of humidity during this time of year you can decrease the amount of water to your landscaping by up to 20-30% during these days since your vegetation will receive water with the leaves through the moist air around. This is a great way to decrease the amount of your water footprint and save some money on your water bill. We even notice that yards begin to overgrow between visits if the water has not been decreased during this period. We normally get about 27% humidity on average in July and 32% in August here in Phoenix. These numbers can change depending on the weather so keep an eye out and ask your current landscaper to make appropriate adjustments during this period.
