When shrubs start to get too large for an area of your yard. Sometimes we hear over time that bushes should be controlled to a certain size but plants are like people and want to grow to its full potential. So the best way to manage the size of your bushes or shrubs is to cut it back more severely. Since after 6-12” of cutbacks you will notice it looks scalped anyway and nothing looks worse than a large dead looking shrub.
