Blooming Jacaranda Trees in Phoenix

Right now in early May you can see these blooming Jacaranda Trees in Phoenix (botanical name is Jacaranda Mimosifolia). These trees bloom for only a few weeks in the Spring time. They are native to South America but do well in California and Florida but also survive here in the Phoenix desert as long as they survive the cooler temperatures in the winter months the first year they get planted. These trees get up to 60 feet and grow upright and they do leave shed. Be sure to check our recommended watering schedule on our website:
