This video is a DIY video on how to use citrus tree fertilizer spikes. The best time of year to do this is:
- Labor Day
- Memorial Day
- Valentines Day
You will want to start with the actual spikes from your local nursery or Home Depot, here is also a link on Amazon:
You will need a hammer and follow the directions that are right on the bag. We highly recommend watering heavy the night before so that the soil is moist. The amount of spikes depends on the diameter of the tree trunk and you never want to install them closer than 30″ to the tree trunk. You will want to place them along the drip line that should be along the outside perimeter of the tree canopy.
