Lawn Mowing / Edging

Regular lawn maintenance services include having your grass mowed or cut weekly, or at least every 2 weeks. We also edge the turf areas and around plants, trees, sidewalks and landscape beds.

Optional Services

Fertilization

Fertilizer keeps the grass and roots healthy and green. We recommend different fertilizers for each of the seasons here in the Arizona desert. At AMS Landscaping we always keep the best turf fertilizer in stock for each season throughout the year.

Pet Waste Control

This can be added to keep the yard clean of dog poop or any other animal waste you may accumulate between each lawn service.

Weed Control

Weeds can be controlled without harming your lawn by using specific chemicals that focus only on broad-leaf (or wide leaf) weeds.

Thatching

We remove the dead thatch (grass clippings) that accumulates on the surface of the yard. We recommend this service in the fall when overseeding is done, since you want the seed to have access to the soil after scalping.

Aeration

This is done to improve the health of the soil in February and March. Aeration pulls plugs from the ground to give the soil more access to air and decreases compaction.

Winter Planting

The final service we provide for yard and lawn areas is to scalp and overseed with winter perennial rye grass in October so you will have a green lawn in the winter months.

The traditional Bermuda grass that grows well here in Phoenix will go dormant in the fall and re-grown again in springtime, but if you want a beautiful lawn in the cooler months, we recommend overseeding.
