If you just moved here from another part of the county and wanted to know how frequent our desert landscapes need to be maintained, this blog is for you. We often get this question at AMS Landscaping from potential clients from the midwest or even California since grass covers most of the landscaping in many other parts of the country and we mostly (but not always) have lots of desert landscaping. Here are our recommendations;
If you have grass in most or part of your landscaping you will want to service at least every 2 weeks so that the turf does not get to long in between visits. Weekly mowing is even better but not always necessary if only part of your landscape consists of grass. Obviously the more frequency of service the cleaner the yard will looks since the property will be clean of leaves and other landscaping debris but we find that 90% of our clients with a lawn only have service every 2 weeks. Included in that service with AMS Landscaping is keeping the bushes and trees trimmed as well so that they dont get overgrown.
If you don’t have any grass at all, then we recommend an every 4 week service. We recommend this because we can still keep the yard relatively weed free and stop by to clean the landscape at least monthly all while trimming a section of trees and shrubs each visit so that they do not get overgrown and need cut back severely every few months.
