Natal Plum/Boxwood shrubs are great for small areas

Boxwood Beauty also known as the Natal Plum shrubs are great for small areas or bordering your landscape (botanical name is Carissa Macrocarpa).  This is a short shrub with small round clustered dark green leaves that gets to be about 1-3 feet tall and can get up to 3-6 foot wide.  This hardy shrub blooms with small white flowers during the growing months.  The boxwood is a thornless shrub that is low shedding and grows best in full sun but can grow in partial shade areas as well.  This evergreen shrub can survive most frost damage and does require moderate watering (we recommend going to azlawns.com/watering).  The natal plum is native to South Africa and can handle hardy soil and actually grows edible fruit.  Here are some other great links online;
